The Opera Festival Exhibition opens in Greenacres, Selskar, Wexford , on the 18th October and runs until the end of November. Three of my works will be in the show, including ‘ Yellow Cushions ” , which is a batik on linen.
A new gallery, SO Fine Art Editions, has just opened at 10, South Anne Street, Dublin 2. Run by Catherine O` Riordan, (who ran the very successful Graphic Studio Gallery for a number of years), the gallery specialises in original fine art prints, ceramics, photography and sculpture by established and emerging artists, both Irish and International. SO Fine Art Editions will show some of my work, including “Pathway”, a screenprint on fabriano paper.
Aidan Hume recently presented “Across the Foyle ” to Loretta Brennan Glucksman , on behalf of the University of Ulster and the Hume and O`Neill families, to thank her for hosting an event in her home, in NYC, to celebrate the University of Ulster`s plans to establish the John Hume and Thomas P. O`Neill Chair in Peace at its Magee Campus in Derry-Londonderry. The batik is part of a series I made of Derry and its surroundings and was on exhibition in gordon gallery, Derry.

The exhibition “Little Gems”, takes place in Solomon Fine Art ,Balfe Street, Dublin 2, from Friday 26th July until Friday 16th August. “Little Gems” shows small and affordable work ( prices range from €150-€1,200 ) by twenty three gallery and invited artists.”Kinsale Rocks” a screen print on paper is one of five pieces of my work included in the exhibition.
The exhibition”Strumpet City”,a group show of original prints inspired by the city of Dublin, is now on in the Graphic Studio Gallery ,Through the Arch ,Cope Street, Dublin 2, running until the 24th August. My piece in the exhibition is called Rooftops and is a screen print on fabriano paper.

My screen print ,Sailing Home, has been selected for the Limerick Printmakers` Open Submission Print Show 2013. Twenty-six printmakers were chosen for the exhibition by this year`s selector Charles Harper RHA, from work submitted by artists from Ireland, Europe and Australia. The exhibition,which is in the Limerick Printmakers Studio and Gallery , 5a Sarsfield Street, Limerick ,opens on Thursday 6th June and runs until Saturday 29th June
My batik on linen, “Curved Trees”, has been accepted by the Royal Hibernian Academy for their Annual Exhibition . This opens on Tuesday, May 28th in the RHA Gallagher Gallery, 15 Ely Place , Dublin 2 and continues until August 17th. There are 489 works in the exhibition, by RHA members, invited artists and artists whose work was accepted through open submission . Among the pieces on show are paintings , drawings, prints, sculptures and mixed media.
I will be giving a lecture on my work, entitled Light and Dark / Sunlight and Shadows, as part of the Friends of the National Gallery Lecture Series , on Tuesday 14 May at 7.30 pm. The venue is No. 5, South Leinster Street, Dublin 2. The talk will show how my practice, both in batik and in screen printing, has developed and evolved over the years and will be about an hour long. “The Irish Scene”, an exhibition which I have curated for Gormley`s Fine Art , is now on in their Dublin gallery and will run until April 4th.In it, a group of artists interpret the changing landscape of modern Ireland in drawing and painting. The artists featured are : Campbell Bruce HRHA, Carey Clarke PPRHA, Eugene Conway, Sean Cotter, James English RHA, Charles Harper RHA, Myra Jago, Patricia Lambert, Paul Mac Cormaic, Bernadette Madden, Jacqueline Stanley and Niall Wright
